The effect of adding chemical fertilizers and spraying with the growth regulator brassinolide and the interaction between them on the growth characteristics and chemical content of date palm trees cultivated in gypsum soils.

Abstract The experiment was conducted in the Fallujah Palm Plant - Department of Horticulture Ministry Agriculture on palm trees Khostawi variety at age 10 years, from (15/2/2020) until (21/10/2020). included two factors, first is use three fertilizer combinations addition to control treatment (F 0 , F 1 2 and 3 ). second factor brassinolide growth regulator with concentrations (0, 0.040, 0.060) mg.L -1 symbolized as Br respectively. At a probability level 0.05, results study are summarized follows:Fertilization mixture (urea 900 g + 450 DAP potassium sulfate 600 g) resulted significant increase average number leaves, rate length fronds, pinnaes, content leaves chlorophyll, percentage dry matter Carbohydrates, nitrogen, phosphorous, protein, which amounted 2.41 0.203 cm, 0.71 54.55 spad units, 35.00%, 11.76%, 1.01%, 0.265%, 1.109%, 6.424%, while gave lowest for aforementioned traits. spraying brassinolide, especially concentration 0.060 mg/L pinnae, protein they reached 2.58 sheets, 0.248 0.81 54.78 unit, 33.67%, 0.97%, 0.287%, 1.081%, 6.047%, studied characteristics, interaction F3Br2 highest traits, superior by giving it carbohydrates leaves.
